South Estonia Party!

Where am I? In my bed – „where else?“ would some people say, but this time it’s due to a cold… a damn cold! Some also might say „You deserve it. Why do you walk outside just with your boxershorts on?“ I had my reasons. I say it’s that damn weather. And talking about damn weather: Snow in Tallinn! (at least for the next five minutes, then we will have +10 degrees again!)

Back to the cold (because it’s so interesting to talk about a cold): This damn cold keeps me from drinking and cutting christmas trees in the woods outside of Tallinn with Artur. Damn you cold, damn you! Normally I wouldn’t care and just go and get a colder cold, but this time I have to take care of myself – going to Russia with Roberto Spaghettoni on Sunday!

After so much unuseful information I will provide you with even more unuseful information of the south Estonia trip.

This was most probably one of the nicest parties I had here in Estonia even though I can’t remember too much and most probably I will leave some embarrassing parts out. Just to save you! (Or to save myself?)

The trip started quite early in the morning and you all know how much I like it to get up at 6 o’clock in the morning – or night (this is actually going-to-bed-time!). First stop was, as I remember, an old Estonian farm which is now a museum. Quite interesting – was the snowball-fight we had. Everyone was included, by own will or forced. Later we went to the biggest indoor motocross hall in Europe. Accidentally there was a race so we could watch it.

Later we went alcohol shopping – I actually don’t know why I bought a single beer – and to the forest brother farm where we stayed the night. First some introduction to the story of the forest brother – which actually is really interesting but not at -1°C outside sitting in the cold wind. Then we had to stay in the cold even more… Really… damn it! After like 40 minutes standing in the cold we went to a bunker and there it was: The desired bottle of some transparent liquid. I call it vodka, still don’t know if it was vodka, but who cares!

Staying in the cold was maybe on purpose, to get us first cold and the warm with this hell of a drink! 64% of alcohol – yay! I don’t know if I already look like I love vodka (I do) but the the host have thought so: He picked me as the first victim of a shot of this delicious drink… a shot… better call it a bottle! This „shot“ was approximately as big as 3 shots – pure 64% vodka (the guy called it a „girls glass“). You have to drink it in one row, so did I… and it was suddenly warm. I didn’t feel too drunk, but i didn’t care about the cold anymore. Everyone got his shot and then we went sledging. That was alot of fun. After sledging? Dinner – and the madness begun!

I was one of the latest to come to the dining room. Nice dinner really. Meat, potatoes, bread and something else I can’t remember because there were also 2 glasses for everyone. One empty and one full of vodka! So… yeah… I had 4 „shots“ of vodka before my memories start to get blurred (~10-12 normal vodka-shots?). The last picture I have from the dining room is when I chinked my glass with Rodolfo. Still can’t remember what was in my glass – somebody told me it was this vodka-straight-out-of-hell – so number 5 (15 shots?)! The next hours are lost, completely. Nothing there anymore. I was told a couple of things I did in these hours like dancing without my t-shirt (someone stole it. Clém? Theresa? It was one of you!), I pushed Roberto in the river (sorry mate!) and there are some pictures I don’t wanna talk about. Haha. No but honestly. I was completely out of mind I guess. Most of the stuff I did still is not coming back. But I (somehow) know that this party in the dining room was awesome! And people agreed with this. Everyone was drunk, everyone was partying like hell (some a bit too much – the vomitting rate was quite high 😉 )

Hours later – I don’t know how many hours – I found myself in the smoked sauna with some friends. I stayed there for two-three hours with breaks to jump in the river and did some usual monkey business there. At around 5 I met my tutor with a big bottle of vodka (the normal one) and a bottle of Vana Tallinn. He tried to make me drink, but I rejected and went to bed. He later attack the houses of some students on the hill which actually thought he was a bear. We just found out later on Sunday that it was him, because someone saw him walking up on the hill at seven and he asked me to help him with his memories. Well done, man!

Sunday was quite hard. I was so sure that I knew everything when I woke up… but I knew a was mistaken when people startet to tell me what I did from dinner to sauna… but it was an awesome party and I didn’t even have a hangover!
The rest of the Sunday consisted of  bit of walking in Viljandi and later baking bread in a traditional bakery in somewhere. Clém and I had a nice competition who would make the ugliest piece of bread and I guess I won… It was a snowman which actually looked like a pile of shit.

Now some pictures. (After uploading the pictures I realized that I don’t really took a lot of pictures… enjoy the eight useless pictures 😉 )

Lapimaa – Lapland 1.12. – 4.12.

Lazyness, oh lazyness…(no German version this time). Whatever. It’s 11:45, let’s say I am awake. What happened within the last weeks? It has been some really nice weeks, but some stuff is hard to remember and will maybe never come back to my mind. Why? Just continue reading. EDIT: seems like I remember a lot about Lapland, but most of my memories of the south Estonia party are missing (next article – maybe it’s short 😉 )

I will start with my trip to Lapland. I was already a bit sad before the trip, because as you may have heard already – there IS no snow in Estonia and there was no snow in Lapland (it is snowing now, but as I am living in the tropic country of Estonia, it won’t stay). We went by bus/ferry from Tallinn to Kuusamo. But first we went to Rovaniemi, the Santa Clause village (boooooring and cheesy) and crossed the arctic circle (yaaaaaaaay). On our way we could see the beautiful landscape of Finland and Lapland – too bad it wasn’t covered in snow! After a 14 hours busride we arrived in Kuusamo, a nice little village. And guess what? It started to snow in the afternoon (even if it was not much, but at least everything was white)!

I don’t really remember the program of the first day besides eating (after the food we hat some information about shamanism + becoming city members of Kuusamo + drinking reindeer blood – whaaaaaat? It tasted like tea, but they said it was blood. Ok, whatever), sauna (brrrrrr – they shut it down because they thought we wouldn’t go – 65°C…) and there must have been some drinking, as I was completely wasted and unable to open my eyes in the morning..

Second day – getting up in the middle of the night to have breakfast and start the tour-program. As I said: there may have been some drinking. Getting up and having breakfast was more than just torture, but I did it. I decided not to go to the first stop, the museum and wanted to go to my bed – no chance, I would miss the whole trip! I had to get in the bus, started sleeping and continued sleeping when everyone was in the museum, just Luca didn’t seem too fit as well.

Now shortly (I’m getting tired again!): Next on program – Husky sledge ride – not for me… 28€ for 2km? No way! But it looked kinda funny. Whatever. Then reindeer farm. Nice place, some food, some tea, some coffee, reindeer sledge ride (for free),etc.

Later we got a christmas dinner at the Kuusamo Opisto – place of living. Alot of food, really nice dinner. In the evening we went to the Spa in Kuusamo, Sauna, sliding and back home. drinking – somehow I wasn’t really in the mood. Ah and yes: no polar lights – the reason why I went there. Too bad. Have to go again.

Next day: 14 hours busride back! How wonderful!
Conclusion of the trip: I really enjoyed being there. The program wasn’t really interesting for me, but in the end it was fun. I loved to see the nature of Lapland with its beautiful lakes, forests and reindeers on the streets, that don’t care if there is a bus coming with about 100km/h. The problem is that I nearly saw the nature only through the window of the bus, that’s why there are nearly no pictures. But I really enjoyed it and will definitely go back!

Now some pictures, next part follows in the next days and is about the south Estonia trip – hell of a party!!!

Lazy guy

(german version)
Yes, yes…I know. I’m lazy. But this is not only my fault, I swear. University made me even lazier. Or better to say not having any courses at university made me lazier. I can’t remember how damn long I had nothing to do…oh yeah, right. I had something to do, but as it is always: Never do it when you have the time, do it just when you don’t have any time in the end! This is so clever. I am so clever! Anyway: I wrote my essay. Yippie!

Holy god.. just took a look what i wrote the last time… seems like i really didn’t write for a long time. Phew. Alot work to do. But I will summarize it quite short so you don’t spend ages to read all of it.

I really have no idea where to start and in what order all the stuff was. I will just start randomly:

I had some visitors from Germany in the last weeks. Some lazy guys which were just partying (it was damn funny) and some cultural interested people (couples, you know..pfff). However, with the party people I spent most of the time in Nimeta and Shooters drinking. The rest was about sleeping. Ah yes. I had a birthday when they were here – Party in Euphoria then…Nimeta/Shooters.
The two couples really wanted to see something, so we went to Helsinki for a day and Paloma guided us through the city. Pretty cool city. The weekend after we went to Riga and checked out this city. Really cool too. We even had a pub-crawl organised by the Hostel. Yaaay. In the end the best thing to happen was that they left again: I wasn’t lazy enough when they were here.

After they left I found my lazyness back: Sleeping long and alot. And drinking. Yeah drinking… I promised the Tartu people to visit them one day… wasn’t able to because of the white T-shirt Party. Something made me drunk. Couldn’t get up or move. So instead of going to Tartu I went to the „Italian Dinner“ of some friends. Great food for the little fatty called Sven. I ate alot. Loved it. Thanks mates!

The week after I managed to go to Tartu. Again a really nice party with my friends. I also slided down a roof on my ass and ripped my jeans a bit. Sewing time! Awesome as always, but Anka is lame!

What else happened? Hmm.. let me think. There was this „Seabattle“-thing in the beginning of this week…hmmm. Not my kind, I’m getting too old for that. 2000 students on a cruise ship from Tallinn to Stockholm (ERASMUS-Students from Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Denmark, Norway and Sweden). A big whore of a party… but Stockholm is awesome!! The most beautiful city I may have seen in my life. But I’m sorry: No pictures… I was afraid of my camera because of this party-cruise. Will go there again.

Nothing more important stuff to tell you at this point I think. Just random parties, sleeping, party, sleeping…

Currently it looks like I am studying again… but the course will be over tomorrow and next week I have my last course for one week. That’s it. No courses after this. How can I NOT be lazy?? Please tell me!

Coming up: Trip to Lapland, Trip to Helsinki (again) and Trip to South-Estonia (hopefully with snow. Where is the promised winter???)

I am too tired to find an appropriate title. (photos photos photos)

Tere minu Sõbrad! (german version)

As the title already tells you: I am tired. Just to make sure you understand how tired I am:
Last wednesday I overslept and missed a course at 2 p.m.! Well done I said to myself and went to my last lecture for my first course. After the course we met with the students of the course and went to a bar in the city-centre – a lot a lot of shots – back home – even more tired – nearly overslept on thursday to play basketball – played basketball – really tired – back to bed – and here I am. In my bed, writing stupid crap you are going to read.

So as usual – the summary of the last week:

Last memory: Thursday, 22nd of September

I had lessons until 9, went to my place with some people and some more people (la famiglia) came to drink some beers. Later we went to Patarei Prison to celebrate the end of the student days. This was something I don’t really know about, but I had to celebrate the end of it – that’s for sure! It was a very nice party outside the prison-buildings with dancing at the beach. Later we went… I don’t know, probably home.

Friday Bernhard called me in the middle of the night at 9:30 a.m. – we had an appointment, to buy jackets for saturday and sunday, but later. So I said: „Sure Bernhard, I will be at Viru in 20 minutes“ – I turned around and slept another 45 minutes (don’t tell anyone: I was still drunk) until Bernhard called again (damn this guy really wanted me to get up!) So I moved my lazy ass and was at Viru 15 minutes later. Bought a new jacket, ate a burger at Hesburger and went straight to bed again. At half past 1 we met again to go to the passages under the bastions. Very nice place, but I didn’t like the light. Some green and red light for such a cool place – sucks. But see it yourself in the gallery.

The weekend was covered with a „survival-trip“ organized be the ESN team. It was no real survival trip, but I didn’t expect it to be. But it was a nice organized trip to Prangli island. We went there with a small boat from Viilmsi. The boatride was quite funny, because the boat was shaking like hell! I was just a bit, a tiny bit afraid of drowning. But I survived.

At Prangli we visited some nice places and had a truck safari. Later sauna and … you know what. I won’t tell you. I shouldn’t, really… Ok I will:

I came out of the sauna and Paloma told me that (why? why? why?) I have to wear her bikini. Yes. Sure. Thank you that I can be the most disgusting guy in the group…the other guys just dressed like women with skirts and boobs etc. I had to be the beach-chic. Nice. After I put on this Bikini I had a strong feeling to really get drunk… and I succeeded!

You want photos? Forget about that! I am so fucking embarrassed when I see them, so: NO WAY that someone of you is ever going to see these (absolutely disgusting) pictures! (All that stuff was because of a ESN-game which went on for the whole survival trip)

The next morning was really nice – Indrek woke me up with a fucking bell and by hitting a pan with I don’t know what. Thank you for the headache, man…

Sunday was covered with more activities – yes, this is what you really like if you have a hangover. Some games and walking back to the port to go home to Tallinn and straight to the bed. I made a lot of pictures. Take a look at the gallery.

What else happened? Let me think for a second…yes, now I know something. I definetly spent too much time in university. Last wednesday 12.5 hours (what the fuck?) and this monday 11 hours nonstop (whaaaaat?) and the rest of the days of the last 2.5 weeks just 4 hours a day. You know it and I know it – there’s something wrong here. I am an ERASMUS-student. I shouldn’t study at all! In the end I am studying more than at home. BUT, there was free wine at the end of the course and a lot of shots in Noorus Kohvik.

Tomorrow: party. Saturday: party. Sunday: rest.

PS.: This was exactly how it happened, just that I didn’t really party on saturday, as I had to recover from friday first.

But on saturday morning I went with some friends to Patarei Prison to take a look from the inside. Really scary place. Everything is still as it was when they closed it in 2002. Books, papers, shoes and suitcases still remaining there. I will put up some pictures, so enjoy!

Before I forget about it: Yesterday I met my friends from Tartu, just to have a nice night with plenty of beer. I really loved it. Anka was lamer than ever, Luca is my best tablesoccer-partner (9 wins, 4 draws, 0 losses in a row. We just stopped playing because we had to pee), Ondrej was helping me out with a bed as always(thanks, even if I didn’t use your bed) and is the most reliable drinking mate ever! And it was so nice to see Simone, Aneta, Jan and Luiza again. And of course the rest of the people!

So now, as you finally finished my article, you may enjoy the gallery.

Brrrrrrrr. (german and english)

I was asked to change this blog to german again so everyone from home can follow – I won’t do that. But it doesn’t take too long to write a german version aswell. You will find the link here: German version. But you will only be able to see pictures on this site! (The versions might differ, but the content should be the same)

Estonia is getting colder – or better was getting colder. Today it was warm again. My body is confused = I got a cold! So finally, after years and years of invincibility (except for all those injuries) Estonia was able to make me (Superman) ill.

Short weather summary of last week:
Cold in the morning, warm in the afternoon, cold in the evening. Rain, sun, wind, sun, rain, windy sun, rainy wind and sunny rain. Maybe not the last one.

As I am ill – nothing really happened here… (you should know me better)

So. What did I do?
First week of my block courses – a bit boring, but maybe this is because I have 4 hours a day… but ok. I will get through this.

I bet we went out for some beers on monday, tuesday and wednesday. Can’t remember right now. Yes, monday for sure, I remember again!

Thursday: ESN (ERASMUS Student Network) Welcome-Party at the Rockcafe. Really really good party! And as I was ill, I tried to repair myself like I did it the last years, when I felt a cold is incoming – get wasted. (It really worked the last years!) But somehow, I was even more sick the next day. Well, I walked home in the rain and slept with the window open.

Friday: Hangover-time in the lecture (at 5 p.m.!) and afterwards a pizza with friends. Later rooftop cinema – Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Nice. A bit too cold. Consequence? Even more ill on saturday! Sure, I got it. I should really stay in bed and recover… yes. No!

Saturday: Stayed in bed until 4:30 p.m. – too lame and Matt was in town. Who the fuck is Matt? No. Where the hell is Matt? – That guy is travelling for 6 years now and doing his stupid dance everywhere. Well I can dance like a retard too – or I can’t dance like a normal person. So I joined him and danced like stupid with him (and hundreds of other people) at Viru gate. So we all will be in his next „Where the hell is Matt?“ – video. You can see me here already, but not dancing. Just smiling (thank god you can’t see me dance!). Grey beanie. But yes: Back to bed after this.

Sunday? Still sick, still stupid. I joined the ESN Bicycle-trip to Paldiski. Really nice trip. Didn’t see alot of the russian stuff there, but cycling was nice and of course the great estonian nature! Perfect weather by the way, but see it yourself.

(I am sorry, but I don’t have any pictures of me drunk, in the lecture, in the pub, in my bed, drunk again, or in class with a hangover. You have to be satisfied with the pictures of Paldiski)

Short update

Hey people!

It’s more than one week in my new hippie life now – beard is growing, but hair isn’t. So I am using Palomas hair, thanks for that.

As I still don’t have any real courses at university, I am sleeping alot – because I can! My courses start next week. I will have every day classes from like 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. or something like that. We will see. And I think after next week I will have one week free until the next course starts… so what to do with all that free time? Get drunk? Become estonian? Get drunk again? Seems like getting drunk is a good option as I am estonian already – yes, I picked up my estonian ID from the migration bureau yesterday. I am allowed to live in Estonia until 2016. Yippieee!

What else happened this week? Yes right, I got drunk on Monday. I went to Tartu to meet my language course friends. We went to the Püssirohukeldar (Gunpowdercellar) to sing karaoke and of course – drink! We ended up in Zavood (Student-bar) and played some table soccer against some estonians. Thanks to Ondrej that I was allowed to sleep in his spare bed. Very comfy!

On tuesday I went to the the most amazing soccer game I have ever seen: EM – Qualifying Estonia vs. Northern Ireland. The game consisted of errors by the Northern Ireland team, but it was a very nice athmosphere and the Estonians are very proud of their team. The game offered more goals than I imagined before. End score 4-1 for Estonia. So there are still chances left to qualify for the European Mastership 2012 in Poland/Ukraine! Well done Eesti!

Saturday and Sunday we went to a street-festival somewhere not far from the city center. A very nice place with a lot of small wooden houses. So beautiful. I think its some kind of a hippie area. Nice!

Looks like I am mixing up the day-order in the week – well, whatever. Lets continue with… wednesday! I don’t know what I did except for that crappy Business English I course.

So, Thursday? I was sleeping. After sleeping I continued sleeping. Picked up my Estonian ID und went to bed again. In the evening I joined the University Jalgpalliklub (football club). Finally, after 6 weeks without any sports I moved my lazy ass again! The team consists only of Estonians, but Johannes and Andi joined the team too. I won’t be able to play in the first team. I am too bad for them. But they have an amateur team – I will take a look at it.
And what’s the best thing to do after playing football? Drinking beer! So we went to Nimeta baar (you still remember? the place where I got half naked because of the stupid game and I won 64 euros because im so beautiful? Just kidding.). After Nimeta we went to Hell Hunt – closed. Back to the hippie place. In the end I was completely drunk because of that bad Saaremaa Vodka – hangover today. But right now I could drink again. Let’s see what will happen today. Over and out.

Ah, by the way: In the last picture is a bomb-robot, directly in front of my flat… because of an empty suitcase.

I’m a hippie now!

Last blogupdate is some time ago (who cares?)… so finally a new article. And guess what?? I am a hippie now!

At the moment I can’t remember what happened in the last weeks, so I just start with yesterday:
We moved to our home for the next 5 months. We call it paradise and its a hippie place located directly in the city center. (euphoria) Who is we? It’s Paloma(Spain)(the mother of our family), Rodolfo(Portugal), Roberto(Italy), Johannes(Germany), me (fake german who is a swedish viking born in Saudi Arabia) and at the moment Sara(Spain) and her cat Kahetana(Spain) (I can’t write it, whatever. As a welcome present she made some poo in my room – I still like her). I guess it will be a lot of fun, because the people are just awesome. Going out isn’t connected to a taxi-ride anymore, but the problem (haha it’s not a problem 😉 ) is that I will probably spend more time in bars than in the university (but this is just because of my academic schedule, it makes me an alcoholic!).

But at first we had to clean that place, because the hippies were housing here like rats before. So its clean now and a really lovely place! After the cleaning we celebrated our new flat with „the family“ (people from the language course EILC). Afterwards we wanted to go to Parlament-Club – we didn’t find it for about one hour and after we found it, we didn’t want to go in anymore -> back to the hippie place. Just some more beers and finally sleeping in my bed, in my own room (I love it, I love it, I love it).

About the last week:

I finished my estonian language course with the mark „B“ – in the exam I was too stupid to get an „A“, but I’m fine with a „B“ too. So I’m speaking estonian fluently now (hahahaha).
After the exam I directly moved with all my stuff (again!) from Tartu to Tallinn. Joined the pub crawl, got drunk in the last week because of some georgian self-made alcohol, went to university to see how my timetables work, found out, that I am in some kind of a program which is made for people that already work (so I will only have block courses from 17:00 – 21:00 mostly), and moved (again!) to my hippie place!

I don’t know what else to write at the moment, but there will be some update in the next week(s) I think. So now, constant reader, enjoy the pictures of my new flat (I will exclude pictures of other rooms, so you just get my room, the kitchen, the bathroom and the corridor – maybe a picture of the cat, if I can catch her!)

Ah by the way. I applied for the Estonian ID card – so I’m a real Estonian now! Just for you to know: I’m not coming back! 😉

Beautiful Saaremaa and Muhu

This weekend I went to Muhu and Saaremaa. At first I have to thank all those nice people from the TTU EILC group and Mari, that I was allowed to join them. I really liked that trip!

The trip started on saturday at 7:30, so I had to go to Tallinn on friday after estonian classes. Friday evening we had some drinks at a bar in the old town and some more at the academic hostel with Bernhard. (Thanks to Jorrit, that I was allowed to use your bed!) So what? Tired on saturday morning after only – I think – 3 hours of sleep, but we went by bus to Muhu, so I was able to sleep a bit. At Muhu we made a tour to get some impressions of that island – it really is worth to go there. A lot of nature and simple living. I really loved it!

To make the two days on the island more exciting we had to form groups and the tutors gave an envelope to every group containing tasks for a photohunt. Well, as my group only consisted of guys – except for tutor Gertel – we were the gay-group. And this is how our photos look like – gay. E.g. we had to take a photo of scenes called „Berlusconi sex scandal“, „Amsterdam red light district“, „love triangle“ and some hawaiian scene… how do you do this with only guys? Well we did some great pictures – I will upload them later, because I dont have them yet.

In the evening we arrived at our home for the night – a cottage with just a bit of electricity and running water. Very simple and really really nice. That’s a place for me to stay! Damn I loved it! So we had some dinner and after that? Smoked sauna – what else! After the sauna we went to a wooden bucket of rainwater and not to forget that Indrek spanked me with some connifer twig – as usual in a sauna. I was red-dotted all over on sunday with some kind of allergic reactions, but now its gone again.

What else to tell? Yeah sure, drinking in the evening combined with singing alot of estonian songs – really nice! Later we played a game I didn’t play for like 13 years (damn I’m old) – truth or dare! Later sleeping (04:00 a.m.?) and getting up at 8:30 again – tired again or still?

After the breakfast we left to discover Saaremaa. We have seen alot of beautiful places, but for me it was like a torture, because if I don’t get enough sleep… yeah well, I survived it! Saaremaa is so beautiful!

After being back in Tallinn I had to go back to Tartu – so another 3 hours of travelling by bus – sucked! But on my way to Tartu I saw Estonia in the dawn – fields covered in fog. Can’t stress it enough: Estonia is beautiful! That’s all about my weekend as far as I now can remember. Thanks!

Now enjoy some pictures:
(Alot of pictures are taken by Sara, maybe half of it)

Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve

Tere õhtust!

This week was quite exhausting, because of so many estonian lessons and this enormous learning speed – and of course because of this „classes start at 9:00“-thing (really, who comes up with such a stupid idea?).
Estonians say Estonian is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. Well, take a look at it:
Minu nimi on Sven ja olen pärit saksamaal. Öppan sotsioloogia Tallinn Tehnikaülikoolis. Ma olen kakskümmend seitse aastat vana ja minu on webblog. Nüüd elan Tartus ja öppan eesti keelt Eesti Maaülikoolis. Nägemist!
Understood everything? No? Well, me neither. I really like Estonian. It really isn’t easy to learn, but at least I get an idea of the language. (psssssst: Estonians are crazy! –> Germans have (as I know) four cases, Estonians have fourteen!) Numbers written in words look also pretty funny. Just one example: 789562 = seitse sada kaheksakümmend üheksa tuhat viis sada kuuskümmend kaks (to you German people: you can pronounce it properly! just say every letter!)
I may have done mistakes in the estonian part above – but you know what? You won’t find them! Hahaha. Ok, you EILC people from Tallinn and Tartu don’t count!

Now let me tell you something about that Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve. Wonderful. You will find some pictures attached down in that gallery. It was a trip organised by my EILC course and the tutors of Estonian University of Life Sciences here in Tartu.
The Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve ist the biggest nature reserve in Estonia and consists mainly of swamps and forests. We took a walk through the forests and over some small wooden planks of the swamp area. Really beautiful nature! Well. My photos can’t even describe how beautiful Estonia is. You just can take a look at those photos and multiply it with at least 10!

I guess thats all for now. No wait! Greetings to the biggest fan of my blog (yes I am talking about you!) (and to everyone else who is still following my blog).

Now enjoy some pictures:

By the way: we were swimming in that river 🙂

And a little announcement for the future:

My blog will switch to german next friday again. So I hope my english-speaking followers won’t be too dissapointed.

I am still alive – finally a new update

Tere!
I have to apologize, but as I told you in an article before: I will get busy after my 10-Days-Holiday in Tallinn. So, I am busy now!

To summarize what happened in the last days. I just can say: Awesome!

After beeing really wasted on thursay, I was sober on friday – finally. And it was ok for me to get up at 8:00 (I hate it!) to go to estonian class. Our teacher is doing a good work, but its really hard to learn estonian. So at least I can say some smaller sentences and understand nearly anything (nothing!). But its fun. And some people start smiling if i even try to order food in estonian – well that works. But I dont get all the answers – weird language.
E.g. at McDonalds: „Kolm juustuburgerid palun“ (Three cheeseburgers please) – well this was maybe right and the waitress replied „anything else?“ in estonian – so I was lost and short before crying and running away. Nah, not really. But she started laughing because I didn’t understand her.

Friday afternoon we had a nice sit-in one of the EILC-Students rooms. Some drinking and talking to each other. I like the EILC people and it was really funny (those polish girl were laughing at me – and still do – because the best compliment i could give was “ i like your shoes“ in polish – they expected, that I would maybe like their hair or eyes – but no! I liked their shoes!
After that some of the others went to the city. But not me – I had to get up at 6:00 in the morning to get my train to Tallinn. Yeah really – 6:00!!!! That’s rather a time to go to bed than to get up. But I did it! (Applause from the audience). After some difficulties (nearly missed the train, because I was totally disorientated, took the wrong bus from Tallinn trainstation to the hostel… because I was still disorientated) I was finally back in Tallinn!

So all the people went to the city centre to discover it a bit more. Nikola did Geocaching again and nearly all the others were following her (I really enjoy that Geocaching-thing). Later on we divided the group into two groups – one to the harbour and one continuing geocaching. I joined Nikola with some others and we found some caches – so did I! I don’t have to feel stupid anymore! Thank god!

After a long day in the city – about seven hours, if I remember correctly – we went back to the hostel, had some food and started – guess what (it has 8 letters and starts with drinkin and at the end there is a g). Alot of fun again with a lazy sunday following.

As you can see its getting better and better all the time.

I love Estonia! Over and out.
